The Wilcox County Sheriff’s Office says it’s now offering a $1,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to the arrest of a murder suspect.


According to a recent post on its Facebook page



, Quintavis Holt is staying in the ‘vicinity of Pineview’.

The post goes on to say all tips and information will be kept confidential.

Law enforcement says Holt is considered ‘armed and dangerous’.

UPDATE (6/4/25):

The man wanted in connection to a double murder in Wilcox County is the brother of suspended Pineview Mayor Brandon Holt, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation confirmed Tuesday.

In response to an inquiry from 41NBC, a GBI spokesperson confirmed Quintavis Holt is the brother of Brandon Holt, the former mayor of Pineview.

Brandon Holt was

suspended by Governor Brian Kemp in April 2024



after being indicted on 75 counts of theft by taking, following a GBI investigation into alleged misuse of city funds.

UPDATE (5/30/25):

Arrest warrants have been issued for a man accused of killing two people in Wilcox County, according to a news release from the Wilcox County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the release, just before midnight on May 25, 39-year-old Quintavis Holt arrived at 205 Depot Street in Pineview and encountered 39-year-old Nathadius Lawson and 40-year-old Charleston Calix. Deputies say Lawson and Calix were socializing in an outbuilding behind the home when Holt opened fire, killing both men. He then ran from the scene and remains on the run.

Deputies responded immediately and began searching for Holt. Sheriff Jeffrey Wessel called in the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) for assistance.

Investigators used witness interviews and residential surveillance footage to identify Holt as the shooter, according to the release. Arrest warrants have since been issued.

Holt faces the following charges:

  • Two counts of malice murder
  • One count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime
  • One count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
  • Two counts of aggravated assault

“We urge everyone in the community to be vigilant,” Sheriff Wessel said. “Quintavis Holt is considered armed and dangerous. Violent and senseless crimes like this have no place in Wilcox County. We will not rest until he is taken into custody and behind bars where he belongs.”

PINEVIEW, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Two people are dead after a shooting early Sunday morning in Wilcox County, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

The shooting happened around midnight on May 25 at a home in the 200 block of Depot Street in Pineview. Several people had gathered at the home when someone began shooting, the GBI said in a news release.

36-year-old Nathadius Kenta Lawson and 40-year-old Charleston Calix were both shot and died at the scene.
