UPDATE: Three men wanted on drug trafficking charges in Macon, now in custody

Three Macon men wanted for drug offenses are now in custody, according to the FBI Atlanta Field Office.

Investigators say two of the men turned themselves at the federal courthouse in Macon, and the other turned himself into Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The FBI Atlanta Field Office is searching for three men wanted on federal drug trafficking charges, according to a news release.

On Jan. 16, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Georgia announced the indictment of 12 individuals in connection with a federal drug investigation. So far, nine of the defendants have been arrested.

The three remaining fugitives are Trayvon Simmons, Leroy Mintz and Devonta Jackson.

Mintz, also known as “Booman,” is wanted on federal narcotics charges from a 2023 investigation into cocaine and crack cocaine distribution in Macon. A federal arrest warrant was issued for Mintz after he was charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Jackson is also wanted on federal narcotics charges from the same investigation. He was charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. A federal arrest warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Simmons, also known as “Abo,” is wanted on multiple federal drug charges from the 2023 investigation. He is charged with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances; possession with intent to distribute cocaine base; distribution of cocaine base; and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
