UPDATE: Man dead after shooting at Autumn Trace Apartments on Rocky Creek Road in Macon
UPDATE (8:44 p.m.):
Macon-Bibb Coroner Leon Jones identified the victim in Thursday’s shooting at Autumn Trace Apartments as 22-year-old Marcus Cunningham. Jones said Cunningham was shot in the chest and pronounced dead at 8:24 p.m. by Chief Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley.
Jones said Cunningham’s family was on the scene.
In a news release, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the complex at 1745 Rocky Creek Road just before 7:30 p.m. and found a male unresponsive inside an apartment. The sheriff’s office says no one else was injured, and the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A shooting was reported Thursday night at Autumn Trace Apartments on Rocky Creek Road, according to Macon-Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.
Jones told 41NBC he received word of the shooting and said Chief Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley is on the way to the scene at 1745 Rocky Creek Road.
