Traffic alert: C-130 transport from Robins Air Force Base may cause delays in Houston County Friday
HOUSTON COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Drivers in Houston County may experience traffic delays Friday morning as law enforcement escorts a C-130 aircraft off Robins Air Force Base.
According to a
Facebook post from the Houston County Sheriff’s Office
, deputies will assist with the transport starting at 9 a.m.
The planned route will move south on Highway 247 to Russell Parkway, then continue along Russell Parkway to Interstate 75 southbound.
The sheriff’s office said delays are expected along the route and encouraged drivers to use alternate paths if possible.
“Thank you for your patience and cooperation,” the post said.
