Three Central State Prison inmates charged in February stabbing in Macon
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Three inmates at Central State Prison in Macon face new felony charges in connection to a February stabbing inside the facility, according to state warrants and information provided by the Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC).
In response to an inquiry from 41NBC, a GDC spokesperson confirmed the arrests of David Woodard, Jeremy Smith and Anthony Enriquez. The spokesperson said the charges stem from “an altercation that occurred at Central SP on February 12, 2025.”
According to warrants filed in Bibb County and signed by a magistrate judge, Woodard, Smith and Enriquez are accused of knowingly and willingly participating in an assault on another inmate, identified as Tyler Jackson.
Each of the three is charged with felony aggravated assault and felony unlawful acts of violence in a penal institution.
According to April 11 warrants, the men stabbed the victim multiple times with a homemade edged weapon between noon and 1 p.m. at Central State Prison, located at 4600 Fulton Mill Road in Macon.
All three inmates remain in custody.
