Schrader expressed his admiration for her constant desire to advance her skill set. She encouraged everyone to step up their game. She will be a member of the ANF family forever.
Gables was born and raised in Oklahoma, where she graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in economics. She earned an MBA from Louisiana Tech University and spent seven years as a reservist in the U.S. Army.
She worked at TV stations in Wichita, Kansas; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Dallas; New York City; Detroit; and Shreveport, Louisiana, during her long broadcast career.
After Amanda Davis passed away unexpectedly in 2018, she joined what was then known as CBS46 (WGCL-TV). After Atlanta-based Gray Media bought the station in 2022 and renamed it Atlanta News First, she quickly switched from mornings to evenings and remained there. (Last week, the station broke away from its affiliation with CBS to go independent.)
In February, she made her final appearance on ANF.
Gables has three children and three previous marriages. She was originally married to Color Me Badd’s R&B singer-songwriter Bryan Abrams, and later to business magnate Peter Klamka. In 2010, she wed Anthony Robinson.
