Rain odds drop Thursday
Georgia’s MACON (41NBC/WMGT) As the cold front that is causing this week’s storms breaks apart, there will be less possibility of rain in the Middle Georgia area on Thursday.
This Evening
Even though there have been a lot of clouds this afternoon, things should start to clear up a bit overnight. Particularly across the southeast portion of the area, a few isolated showers and storms are still probable. There won’t be any severe weather. With lows mostly in the lower 70s, there will be sporadic clouds throughout the night. One cannot exclude out a few people in their upper 60s. There will be light and fluctuating wind.
Tomorrow
With highs returning to the low to mid-90s throughout the region, more sunshine is anticipated on Thursday. Real feelings ought to be in the lower triple digits and upper 90s. There will be a mild north-northeast wind. Although there is a chance of a storm or one or two isolated showers, the likelihood of rain is expected to decline starting tomorrow.
Anticipate another mostly overcast evening with some clearing on Friday morning. Light winds from the north-northeast will accompany lows in the upper 60s and lower 70s.
The Fourth of July and Beyond
Around Middle Georgia, Independence Day will be partly sunny and hot, with highs in the low to mid-90s that are almost average and actual temperatures in the upper 90s and lower triple digits. Once more, a few isolated showers are possible, but rain is not a big worry generally, and fireworks and other celebrations should go well.
Highs will remain in the mid-90s for the weekend, with partly to mainly sunny conditions. As an area of low pressure off Georgia’s southeast coast attempts to deepen, breezes may kick up from the northeast throughout the second half of the weekend. There is currently a 40% chance that this low may develop into a tropical depression in the coming seven days.
