Rain chances continue in Middle Georgia
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Showers and convection continue especially in Middle Georgia where models hint at the possibility of some redevelopment. These will likely remain below
severe thresholds. Clearing should begin across North Georgia as the frontal system approaches by the morning hours. Since moist airmass is in place, expect to see patchy fog and possibly some dense fog across the area. Thunderstorm and rain chances will continue across Central Georgia where the frontal boundary is expected to stall later today. Severe chances are low due to little instability. Drier conditions should settle in across North Georgia, with the metro rain chances dependent upon how far south and how quickly the frontal boundary sinks. Highs will be in the 80s across the state, but lows tonight will see a big difference, with near 70s across Middle Georgia, but sinking to the low 60s across North Georgia.
