Quiet restaurant openings lead 20 newcomers to metro Atlanta dining scene in July

Confab Kitchen & Bar launched at the Parkside at Dresden development in Brookhaven approximately a year and a half after it was first announced. According to a recent article in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Doug Gross, the former owner of Kaleidoscope, is now running the restaurant. The restaurant’s real launch was just announced on social media, despite the initial announcement being made public in November 2023.

The drive-thru coffee brand 7 Brew opened a new location in Mableton on Wednesday, continuing its development around metro Atlanta.

Owner Mark Berens informed The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the downtown Lawrenceville location of Berens Frozen Custard opened with a ribbon-cutting on July 26.

According to Rough Draft Atlanta, Brainwave Pizza has taken the position of Glide Pizza at Decatur’s Inner Voice Brewing on West Ponce de Leon Avenue. The brewery revealed the new idea on social media in June after Glide moved. Since our first day at Inner Voice, we’ve always imagined Decatur (and ourselves) savoring a delicious slice of pizza and one of our beers, the company wrote on Instagram. Midway through July, the Perimeter Summit development in Brookhaven saw the opening of two sister eateries from STHRN Hospitality: a food truck called Pizza Stop and a cafe called Little Gem. On weekdays, Little Gem will be open from 7:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, Pizza Stop will serve lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
