The Fourth of July afternoon has been hot and partly sunny, with little chance of rain. This will continue into the evening, enabling all holiday activities to proceed according to schedule. Lows will be in the lower 70s overnight, with winds of around 5 mph coming from the east-northeast. During the night, gusts could still reach up to 15 mph.

Tomorrow

With highs in the lower 90s and actual feelings in the upper 90s, Saturday is going to be a pleasant day. The northeastern wind will be stronger, ranging from 7 to 15 mph. Gusts will be between 15 and 25 mph. This is because a low pressure system southeast of Georgia’s coast is attempting to develop into a tropical depression. Over the next seven days, there is a 70% chance of development. The area may see a few showers during the afternoon and evening as a result of this low.

With mild northwest-northeast winds, overnight temperatures will be close to normal in the lower 70s. It may go below 70 in the coolest places. There should be a few clouds in the sky above.

Sunday and Beyond

There will be a slight northerly wind on Sunday, but it won’t be as strong as it was on Saturday, and the temperature should feel warmer. Partially sunny skies with the potential for a sporadic rain are forecast.

When the wind turns back out of the south overnight on Sunday, big time heat will resume the following week. Expect genuine feelings of 110+ and highs in the triple digits. In light of this, heat advisories are probably going to be issued.
