Northside to Host Alumni Reunion, Honor Legendary Coach Conrad Nix During Season Opener

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – There’s a rich tradition of high school football in Warner Robins — from Demon Country to Green Street, the sport runs deep in the community’s DNA.

Northside High School announced plans to celebrate that tradition with a football alumni reunion during the first week of the regular season. Former players and coaches who once wore the blue “N” on their helmets or coaching hats are invited to reunite and be recognized.

The event is set for Saturday, Aug. 16, beginning at 5 p.m. with a tailgate at McConnell-Talbert Stadium (The Mac). The Eagles will take on Eagles Landing later that evening, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. after the pregame festivities.

During halftime, Northside will honor former head coach Conrad Nix — the winningest coach in the program’s history. Nix led the Eagles for 24 years, guiding them to five state championship appearances and capturing back-to-back titles in 2006 and 2007.

The reunion is expected to draw former players, fans, and community members eager to celebrate the legacy of one of Georgia’s most storied football programs.
