National Chicken Wing Day Deals
For National Chicken Wing Day this week, a number of eateries in the Atlanta area are running promotions and discounts.
Customers may buy a dozen wings and sample up to four different varieties for $18.95 during a wing flight special at Reynoldstown’s Wylie & Rum, a Caribbean restaurant. Atlanta Wing Co., a restaurant that specializes in wing-focused takeaway, is giving customers who purchase ten, twenty, or more wings a buy one, get one half-off offer.
On Tuesday, the neighborhood fried chicken company Ponko Chicken is giving a 25% discount on 10 wings for $10.
Using the code WINGIT2025, Taco Maclocations is selling wings in 6- and 10-piece orders for half off both in-person and online.
Even though several sites in Georgia are closing this week, Hooters will still give away complimentary wings to dine-in guests. When a beverage is purchased, guests at Twin Peaks, another big chain, will receive 12 wings for the price of six.

Dozens of Georgia restaurants win Wine Spectator awards
This week, Wine Spectator awarded medals to over 60 restaurants throughout the state. Most of them won the magazine’s Award of Excellence, which is bestowed upon eateries whose wine lists feature at least 90 options and are deemed to feature a diverse range of high-quality wineries.
The next rung on Wine Spectator’s awards ladder, the Best of Award of Excellence, was won by 18 restaurants, the majority of which were in the Atlanta region. According to the magazine, those eateries may be regarded as wine enthusiasts’ Mecca because they usually have 350 or more options. Restaurants including Atlas, Bones, Canoe, Lazy Betty, and White Oak Kitchen & Cocktails are among the local winners.
Less than 100 restaurants worldwide have won the Grand Award from Wine Spectator, despite the publication bestowing thousands of these honors. Located just a few hours up I-85: Soby sin downtown Greenville, South Carolina, is one among those recently added to the Grand Award list. This year, three new restaurants received the Grand Award title, including Soby’s, which offers sophisticated Southern food. The magazine claims that there are over 3,000 wines in the Soby’s wine cellar.

Local restaurant company Souper Jenny has announced on social media that it will shortly close its Brookhaven store and move to Chamblee later this year. Before closing, the location near the intersection of Peachtree and Kendrick roads will be open until the next week.
