Man arrested in Gray for exploiting elderly mother after domestic dispute

GRAY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man was arrested Saturday for exploitation and intimidation of the elderly, according to the Jones County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance involving family violence on June 14 at a home in Gray.

42-year-old Christopher Covey, who lives with his elderly and disabled mother, became verbally abusive after a disagreement over missing musical equipment, according to a news release.

Covey allegedly directed his anger at his mother and caused damage to her bedroom door and frame.

He was arrested and charged with criminal damage to property and exploitation and intimidation of the elderly.
