FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) A teenage girl was hospitalized after aviolent confrontationtied to an ongoing business dispute, according to the Forsyth Police Department.

According to Lt. Terence Thomas, the altercation began around six months ago when a 14-year-old girl from Forsyth allegedly took a bag from a 14-year-old girl in Hampton after she had provided hair services without receiving payment, which led her to take the Hampton teen s COOGI bag.

On Monday night, the Hampton teen, accompanied by eight others including her mother and the mother s boyfriend traveled to Forsyth to reclaim the bag. An altercation broke out outside the victim’s house. According to Lt. Thomas, the Forsyth teen was stabbed in the upper right corner of her chest by a 16-year-old girl from Griffin during the altercation. Additionally, a 14-year-old boy from Phenix City, Alabama, pulled out a gun during the conflict. Lt. Thomas says the victim s parents heard the commotion and, after being threatened with the gun, quickly called police.

When they heard the commotion, they came outside, but at that point, their daughter was already stabbed, Lt. Thomas said. The father contacted 911, which was their standard procedure.

Officers swiftly tracked down the group that had arrived to confront the victim after they departed the site.

The injured victim was initially treated at Monroe County Hospital before being transferred to Egleston Children s Hospital in Atlanta. Lt. Thomas says parental involvement in their children s lives is important.

Be involved in your kids life, he said. Know what s going on. That is the most important thing I would say.

As the investigation continues, two adults 20-year-old Jomar Chandler and 32-year-old Zahier Miller as well as the two teenage suspects, face multiple charges, including aggravated assault.

The Macon Regional Youth Detention Center is where the teenagers are being held at the moment.
