The artworks were stored in shipping containers after the event and were mainly forgotten for over thirty years.
Michael Goldberg, the co-founder and current chief creative officer of Luna Luna, was operating a creative business in New York in 2019 when he happened to come across a little-known article about Luna Luna: Forgotten Fantasy that a colleague had forwarded to him.
“I was amazed that I had never heard of it,” he stated. Having some of the best artists create rides, games, and attractions struck me as the best concept ever.
The fact that there were just two articles about it online startled him.
He stated it didn’t make sense. I anticipated ten thousand. Given that some of the best painters of the day were contributing, it was really strange.
An obsession developed.
Goldberg spent three years locating Heller’s misplaced valuables. Rapper Drake and his collaborators at DreamCrew, a creative firm, were shown Luna Luna by him. DreamCrew promised to restore the original exhibition’s splendor after purchasing its contents in 2022.

With new music from Andr 3000, David Byrne, Jamie XX, Philip Glass, and Saya Gray, DreamCrew has revived the artwork and revitalized the multisensory experience since acquiring Luna Luna.
After the carnival stops in Los Angeles and New York, Atlanta will be the third city to host Luna Luna.
According to Goldberg, “We thought Atlanta was a great fit because of its deep ties and relevance in entertainment and music.” After that, Pullman Yards is a fantastic location; it’s the perfect setting.
Pullman Yards co-founder Maureen Meulen is thrilled to introduce Atlanta audiences to the works of some of the greatest pop, abstract, and surrealist artists.
According to her, you would normally visit a museum to view these kinds of artworks. Part of what makes it so enjoyable, in my opinion, is the ability to showcase them in a more laid-back setting that is more pleasant and possibly more inviting to various demographics.

Highlights of the amusement park include the tall Ferris wheel by Basquiat, the mirrored infinity dome by Dal, the labyrinth by Lichtenstein, the Technicolor swing ride by Kenny Scharf, Poncil Land by Poncil Creaci, and Heller’s wedding chapel.
The narrative of Luna Luna’s disappearance and resuscitation is told in a six-part podcast that debuted in March. The podcast, which is hosted by art historian Helen Molesworth, may be found on the majority of popular streaming services.
