LeMaistre accused the Cartersville-based artist of sexual battery in 2016 and filed a complaint against him in the Los Angeles Superior Court on October 29. Wayne has refuted the accusations. According to LeMaistre, a native of Los Angeles, the two became friends while she was dealing with the loss of her 9-month-old baby.
She claimed that after being welcomed to the Grammy-winning hitmaker’s Los Angeles studio, she was offered a shot of wine and a Xanax. LeMaistre claims that after losing consciousness, she woke up to his raping her in a hotel room in Beverly Hills.
As she wandered in and out of consciousness, LeMaistre claimed in the file that she was totally immobile and silent. “I never gave consent,” she stated.

Later, she added, Wayne urged her to get her things. According to the lawsuit, he got her into a car and drove her to the Los Angeles studio. LeMaistre discovered she was pregnant a few weeks later and had an abortion, which she linked to the alleged encounter. She also mentioned that during the time, she didn’t have intercourse with anyone else.
The lawsuit mentions a 2017 song called Rap Saved Me, which Wayne produced. According to LeMaistre, the song’s lyrics are similar to the alleged encounter. The lyrics of the song, which features Quavo, Offset, and other Atlanta singers 21 Savage, read: She took a Xanny, then she collapsed; I’m from the gutter, ain’t no change; Rap saved me from the gutter; She drives me mad, have my baby.
Lawrence C. Hinkle II, Wayne’s attorney at the time, called the accusations a “straight-forward shakedown.”
Hinkle II told the AJC last year that these charges were untrue. She was not paid by Mr. Wayne months ago, and he is still not paying her. In court, Mr. Wayne will defend himself. After he wins, he will submit a claim for malicious prosecution.
In December, the matter was transferred to a federal court. Regarding Monday’s filing, Wayne’s attorneys were not immediately available for comment.
LeMaistre lawyer Michael J. Willemin told the AJC in an email on Tuesday that he is eager to hold Mr. Wayne responsible in front of a jury of his peers.
In an apparent attempt to escape responsibility for his acts, Mr. Wayne has disregarded court orders and fundamental discovery requirements. According to the email, Ms. LeMaistre and I have been actively pursuing the matter in the interim.
Wayne’s much awaited mixtape, A Futuristic Summa, which pays homage to the futuristic period of Atlanta rap, was released earlier this month. Future, T.I., Lil Baby, and Young Thug are featured on the 24-track project. To commemorate the album’s release, the producer threw a party in Atlanta last week.
