According to authorities, the suspect, Jose Carlos Meza Ignacio, 31, fled the site of the crime. People are advised not to approach him.
Investigators claim that Ignacio and the victim got into a fight over Ignacio’s gun while they were both drinking in their flat. The victim was then allegedly shot by the suspect.
Charges of murder, aggravated assault, first- and third-degree child maltreatment, gun possession, and criminal property damage were all warranted.
Lt. Carlos Nino, a Brookhaven police spokesperson, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that at least one child was inside the house when the shooting occurred. Nino described the shooting as regrettable.

Ignacio, who has a scar on his left eye, was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, brown shorts, and a black cap, according to a photo issued by the police. He has letters on his neck, a horse on his left wrist, and Saint Jude on his back.
