The Netflix series “The Hunting Wives” stars Brittany Snow and Malin Akerman. It is based on May Cobb’s thriller mystery book. Snow portrays Sophie, a woman who must trade the East Coast for east Texas because of her husband’s work. Before she meets Margot (Akerman), the queen bee of a group of ladies known as the Hunting Wives, she is completely lost. These ladies enjoy throwing parties rather than exchanging recipes or having tea. Up until she becomes entangled in a murder case, Sophie finds Margot’s easygoing demeanor and self-assurance to be enticing. On Monday, all eight episodes will be released.
Although it was shortlisted for the 2018 Booker Prize, the new Hulu drama “Washington Black” is also based on the same book. Wash, short for George Washington Black, is born into slavery in Barbados and takes place in the early 1800s. A scientist named Titch (played by Tom Ellis) notices Wash’s artistic ability and interest and supports his learning and inventiveness. Titch and Wash flee in a hot-air balloon that lands in Nova Scotia as danger arrives. The show chronicles Wash’s journey as he matures into a man, portrayed by Ernest Kingsley Jr., a newbie.In addition to being an executive producer, Sterling K. Brown plays a part in the program. Start watching the episodes on Wednesday.
On Thursday, the highly regarded British crime drama “Code of Silence” will be available on BritBox. Rose Ayling-Ellis portrays a deaf cafeteria employee who, thanks to her lip-reading skills, starts working with the local police. Although thrilling, this new world is also perilous.
