Restaurant manager wanted for theft at Jack s in Montezuma

Georgia’s Montezuma (41NBC/WMGT) A restaurant manager is being sought by police on suspicion of stealing cash from a safe at Jack’s Restaurant in Montezuma on Saturday, June 28.

The theft seems to be an inside job, according to a Facebook post from the Montezuma Police Department. Investigators think the suspect knew the safe combination and the code for the alarm system.

Police conducted interviews with restaurant employees, examined data from Flock Safety cameras, examined internal and external surveillance footage, and carried out search warrants for bank accounts, phone records, and camera systems.

Following the inquiry, authorities determined that the culprit was Joshua Wilcher, a Laurens County resident and restaurant manager. According to the department, Wilcher is currently wanted and accused of stealing.

According to the authorities, Wilcher is 160 pounds, 5′ 7″ tall, and has black and burgundy hair.
