UPDATE: Arrest made after man found with stab wound, head injury in Macon roadway

UPDATE: As part of the Pine Valley Drive death investigation on Monday, Bibb County investigators made an arrest.

Shortly after the incident, patrol deputies contacted a person of interest in the 400 block of Poplar Street, according to a news release.

After being taken to investigators’ headquarters by deputies, Macon resident Eric Scott, 49, was taken into custody following more inquiry. Shortly around nine o’clock at night, he was brought to the Bibb County Jail. He is being jailed without bond after being charged with murder.

Georgia’s MACON (41NBC/WMGT) A guy was discovered unconscious on Monday night in the Pine Valley Drive highway, suffering from a knife wound and a head injury. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is looking into the incident.

According to a news release from the sheriff’s office, about 5:40 p.m., deputies arrived at the 4700 block of Pine Valley Drive after the Macon-Bibb Emergency 911 Center got a report of an unresponsive individual.

Brock Fowler, 35, was discovered unconscious in the road when deputies arrived.

Macon-Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said that after being transported by paramedics to a hospital, Fowler passed away from his wounds.
