Man killed in Bibb County shooting, suspect in custody

Georgia’s MACON (41NBC/WMGT) A deadly shooting on Majestic Lane late Thursday night is being investigated by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office. Following reports of a person shot, deputies arrived at the 3300 block shortly after 11:00 p.m. When they arrived, they discovered Couri Woodford Jr., age 21, with a gunshot wound. Deputy Coroner Lonnie Miley declared Woodford dead at the scene. His nearest of kin have been informed by authorities.

Pierce Williams, 43, has already been arrested by investigators in relation to the incident. Investigations into the events leading up to the catastrophe are still ongoing.
