UPDATE: Missing Hancock County man found safe
UPDATE: Willie James Thomas has been located and is safe, according to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.
THE FIRST STORY:
Georgia’s SPARTA (41NBC/WMGT) A guy who vanished Monday afternoon is being sought by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.
Willie James Thomas, commonly known as Pete Thomas, left his house at 1:30 p.m. and his family has not seen him since, according to a Facebook post from the sheriff’s office.
According to deputies, Thomas weighs about 180 pounds and is 5 feet 10 inches tall. When last seen, he was dressed in blue jeans and a white T-shirt.
The white 2001 Ford Ranger 4 4 he was driving had the Georgia license plate RBQ4050. At 3:19 p.m. on Monday, the car was last spotted on a Flock camera heading into McDuffie County on Georgia Highway 16.
