Roquan Smith Returns to Macon County to Host Sold-Out Youth Football Camp
Georgia’s Montezuma (41NBC/WMGT) On Saturday, July 19, Roquan Smith, a former top athlete from Macon County High School and the University of Georgia, will return to his hometown to give back to the community that shaped him.
Young athletes will get the opportunity to learn from one of the NFL’s top linebackers at the Baltimore Ravens All-Pro linebacker’s free kids football camp at his alma mater. The Roquan Smith Foundation is sponsoring the event, which aims to foster fun and teamwork while focusing on football principles and skill development.
As of Monday morning, the camp is fully booked and will be open from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. No on-site registration is allowed. Although autographs are not offered at this session, attendees did receive hands-on coaching and lunch.
Smith, who is renowned for his leadership both on and off the field, will use the occasion to motivate and establish a connection with Middle Georgia’s upcoming sportsmen.
