Five arrested in Monroe County for meth, cocaine distribution
FORSYTH, Georgia – Five people were arrested on drug charges following an investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, according to a news release.
According to a news release, the City of Forsyth received multiple complaints about narcotics sales. In response, Monroe County Sheriff Brad Freeman directed the sheriff’s office Narcotics Unit to investigate.
Between June 9 and 10, investigators arrested 50-year-old Emory Denby, 69-year-old Rex Williams, 42-year-old Fredrick Zellner, 48-year-old Robert Downs, and 54-year-old John Blake Smith.
All five were charged with the sale and distribution of methamphetamine and/or cocaine. They are being held without bond at the Monroe County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing.
