Man arrested after ghost guns, drugs found during Twiggs County property check
TWIGGS COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A man was arrested after deputies found drugs and illegal firearms during a property check, according to the Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident happened around 4:18 a.m. on May 26 at the Marathon gas station on Sgoda Road.
Deputies said they saw a person “slumped” in the driver’s seat of a vehicle during the check. A search of the vehicle and the driver led to the discovery of two 9mm non-serialized pistols, also known as “ghost guns,” and marijuana packaged with intent to distribute.
The driver was identified as Daetez Hertzog. Hertzog was arrested on multiple charges and taken to the Twiggs County Jail without incident.
