23 Macon restaurants competing in French Fry Fight July 9-11

Georgia’s MACON (41NBC/WMGT) According to a news release from NewTown Macon, 23 eateries in downtown Macon will vie for the title of finest fries during the annual Downtown Macon French Fry Fight, which will take place over three days from July 9 to July 11.

The French Fry Fight, which is in its fourth year and falls on National Fry Day, offers area eateries an opportunity to present inventive takes on a common side dish. Over the course of the three days, participating establishments will serve their fry specials in-house.

The Main Street Macon board of NewTown Macon organized the event to increase foot traffic in the downtown area during the normally sluggish summer months.

Emily Hopkins, Vice President of External Affairs and Main Street Macon Manager at NewTown Macon, stated that the Main Street Macon board is in charge of many of the enjoyable, imaginative, and cooperative events that take place downtown all year long. The French Fry Fight is one of the events that highlights downtown’s greatest features, which are our locally owned and run businesses.

Visit participating eateries in Downtown Macon during regular business hours on the days of the competition to take part. The most inventive and delectable fry specials, which range in price from $10 to $20, will be offered by each establishment. According to NewTown Macon, every dish is a sharing appetizer or entree portion that is sure to impress your palate!

At newtownmacon.com, patrons can cast their votes for their favorite dish. The Super Spud award will go to the restaurant that receives the most votes.

Biddy’s, Braddock’s Cask and Table, Cashman’s Pub, Daisy Tequila Bar, Fall Line Brewing Co., Fatty’s Pizza, Francar’s, Just Tap d, Kinjo Kitchen + Cocktails, Kudzu Seafood Company, La Bella Morelia, Longleaf Distilling Co., Loom at Hotel Forty Five, Macon Water Ice, Ocmulgee Brewpub, Oliver’s Corner Bistro, Parish on Cherry, Piedmont Brewery & Kitchen, Rookery, Satterfield’s, Sweet Eleanor’s, Social Duck, and the Vintage Restaurant at Marriott City Center are among the participating eateries this year.

Cashman’s Pub’s Asian Sesame Fries entry won the title in 2024. In 2022, the establishment likewise won first place.
